The Order is a group of pastors who have banded together for the purpose of soul-care, ordination, and theological conversation. AMO is a spiritual order for pastors and ministers of the gospel (not to be confused with a denomination – churches do not join AMO). We are attempting to cultivate a healthy common life among pastors of all kinds by intentionally meeting together monthly for soul-care lunches, and twice a year for three-day retreats.

The AMO believes healthy effective pastors are deeply spiritual first and foremost. Skills, talents, and leadership follow at a distant second.

Our HopeIt is the orders hope that it stands alongside the best of the historical, traditional, and biblical Christian faith handed down by trustworthy traditions. The Associated Ministerial Order is a church, the Order’s Fellows are a part of the church, expressed implicitly and also explicitly in some cases as members of local congregations. Others may choose to not be a member of their local church but hold their church membership within the AMO.
|
Who we areThe AMO is comprised of six founding male and female pastors and ministry professionals, who desire a greater accountability and support for their spiritual, personal, and ministerial life. Others have joined the original six Fellows. While some Fellows hold their ordination with the AMO, others do not. The AMO does not require the submission of the pastor’s local church. In other words, the local church is not a part of the AMO, but the pastor is.
